Rewired Consulting LLC
Rewired Consulting LLC was formed in 2024 by Janis Reischmann. The firm was established on the belief that we are all both teachers and learners.
Rewired exists to support organizations and individuals who are doing important work in their communities and who could benefit from some outside help and perspective.
The services of Rewired are personalized and customized to meet the needs of the client. Generally, services are consulting – where Rewired carries out an assignment or project that is important to the client. Together with the client, Rewired maps out a scope and process for the project.
Leadership coaching is another service offered by Rewired. Coaching may be woven into a consulting engagement or it may be a separately agreed upon coaching relationship.

About Us
Who Is Rewired Consulting LLC?
After having the privilege of working in the nonprofit sector for more than 35 years in Hawai‘i, including spending the past 15 years as the executive director of Hau‘oli Mau Loa Foundation, I took a pause. What became clear to me during this pause was that I wanted to serve and support the sector and the people who shared so much with me and taught me so much over these past years.
I started “Rewired Consulting LLC” because it’s not time for me to retire. Instead, I’m on a journey of “rewiring”. Through Rewired, I aim to support leaders and organizations that want to do more, see more clearly, or to engage differently in their communities. My approach to this work is largely through consulting, coaching, and providing other supportive services. I draw on my professional and personal experiences including master’s degrees in social work and in business administration, together with many individuals who have served as important teachers and guides.
Rewired Services
Supporting Organizations and Individuals
The primary services offered by Rewired are consulting and coaching, however other services can be devised, based on client interests and needs. In all cases, services are custom designed together with the client.
Consulting
- Organizational or individual consulting services specializing in work that strengthens and supports communities.
- Clients include nonprofit organizations, government, and individuals.
- Services are designed together with the client.
Drawing on experiences from my 35 years of work in the nonprofit sector, I help organizations, boards and leaders gather information, make sense, set a new course, or develop new skills or practices. Consulting services are bespoke and developed for each situation and the desired outcomes.
Consulting services may be project or product based or a client may invite Rewired to think with them about an issue that they are focused on. Planning, conducting research and gathering data, making sense of data, facilitation, are all types of consulting services Rewired can provide. On occasion, if a project is too large or it requires a type of expertise or knowledge not resident at Rewired, we will engage another individual or team to join the work.
Coaching
- One on one coaching supports an individual in seeing more clearly and finding new answers to issues that are important.
- Coaching is a partnership that is based on the belief that insights and solutions that are “home grown” have deep value and relevance.
- Coaching clients generally are purpose-driven individuals, working with communities on issues that matter to them.
Coaching is based on the belief that people are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole. It is a partnership between a coach and someone being coached and assumes the answers to ideas being raised are held by the person being coached.
Through one-on-one coaching, I work in partnership with individuals who are motivated to identify new practices or insights to help them achieve their goals or realize an increased sense of purpose.
To strengthen my coaching practice, I completed a course in life coaching offered by Lumia and accredited by the International Coaching Federation.
Other Services
- Provide other supportive services as needed such as training or serving as an interim.
If appropriate, Rewired can provide training services on topics important to work the client is doing or planning to do. We can also serve as an interim in the case of a short-term or unplanned absence. Other services that support an organization carrying out or advancing its work can be custom designed to meet the client’s needs.
